Maggie L. Walker Illustration / Women's History Art Print
This is a print of my illustration of Maggie L. Walker (1864 - 1934), an African American entrepreneur. She broke traditional gender and discriminatory laws by becoming the first woman to establish and become president of a bank in the United States. The bank, Saint Luke Penny Savings Bank was established in 1903 in Richmond, VA.
This is the perfect small gift for someone who is an entrepreneur or a person who just wants a piece of Black history art to put on their wall.
Using photographs as reference, I illustrated this digitally using Adobe Photoshop and my trusty Wacom drawing tablet. I print it here at my home studio and it currently comes in three print sizes: 5 x 7 inch (12.7 x 17.8 cm), 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm) and 11 x 14 inches (27.9 x 35.6 cm). Every size is on bright white, medium weight paper.
