Matthew Henson Illustration / Black History Art Print

This is a print of my illustration of Matthew Henson, the first African American Arctic explorer. Along with Robert Peary, Henson was a part of the small group considered to be the first to reach the geographic North Pole in 1909.

This is the perfect small gift for an explorer, an Arctic enthusiast, or the person who just wants a piece of Black history art to put on their wall.

Using photographs as reference, I illustrated this digitally using Adobe Photoshop and my trusty Wacom drawing tablet. I print it here at my home studio and it currently comes in three print sizes: 5 x 7 inch (12.7 x 17.8 cm), 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm) and 11 x 14 inches (27.9 x 35.6 cm). Every size is on bright white, medium weight paper.
