Wilma Mankiller Illustration / Women's History Art Print

This is a print of my illustration of Wilma Mankiller, the first female chief of the Cherokee Nation. She served as principal chief from 1985 to 1995. Under her administration, the Cherokee Nation saw an increase of citizens from 55,000 to 156,000. In office, she focused on improving the Nation's government, healthcare and education systems. She also improved the relationship between the Cherokee Nation and the federal government. After leaving office, she remained an activist for Native American and women's rights.

This is the perfect small gift for someone who is interested in Cherokee culture or a person who just wants a piece of Women's history to put on their wall.

Using photographs as reference, I illustrated this digitally using Adobe Photoshop and my trusty Wacom drawing tablet. I print it here at my home studio and it currently comes in three print sizes: 5 x 7 inch (12.7 x 17.8 cm), 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm) and 11 x 14 inches (27.9 x 35.6 cm). Every size is on bright white, medium weight paper.
